The UGV Droid TW 12.7 played a strategic role by replacing an infantry position of the 3rd Assault Brigade of Ukraine for a month and a half, maintaining control of an intersection occasionally used by enemy forces.

Operated daily by soldiers from the NC13 company, the robot conducted surveillance and direct fire missions, preventing the advance of invading troops and providing continuous coverage for the defense line.

According to the company commander, the system proved to be a valuable tool in relieving infantry tasks during both offensive and defensive operations. He also emphasized efforts to distance operators from the front line, as training new specialists takes up to a month and a half. The unit is also working on coordinating groups of UGVs with multiple drones to enhance attack effectiveness.

The Droid TW 12.7, manufactured by DevDroid, integrates digital communication, Starlink, and LTE, and allows control distribution among multiple operators via an intuitive software. Equipped with a 12.7mm M2 Browning machine gun, the system can be quickly mastered by experienced operators, enhancing its utility as a tactical solution in modern combat scenarios.
