A shocking video showed the moment a train collided with a car-hauling truck that was stopped in the middle of the tracks at a level crossing in Schertz, Texas (USA).
The clip was filmed by Camron M. Colwell, who was on his way to church when he spotted the car-hauling truck stopped at the level crossing as a train approached, honking to clear the tracks.
In the footage, you can hear two women shouting “get out of the truck” to the driver seconds before the collision. Moments later, the train violently struck the 18-wheeled car-hauling truck, sending debris flying in all directions.
The truck became trapped on the south side of the tracks when it was struck by a westbound train, according to the Schertz Police Department.
Reports say the force of the collision pushed the truck’s cab about 50 meters. No injuries were reported, and the train did not derail, but the crossing was closed for nearly six hours.
The accident is still under investigation. The police reminded drivers to stay alert and follow signage at level crossings.
