A video capturing the terrifying moment a plane entered a runway and narrowly missed a Tesla is leaving netizens stunned.
The incident occurred on a highway in Oklahoma, USA, last Thursday (23rd), shortly before 2 p.m., according to KOCO News 5.
The Oklahoma National Guard turboprop OA-1K Skyraider II was on a training mission at Will Rogers National Guard Air Base when the aircraft experienced engine failure and was forced to make an emergency landing.
At that moment, driver Matthew Topchian captured the frightening scene with a dash camera in his Tesla as the plane glided toward him.
“I was driving down the road and, out of nowhere, right above a tree, I looked and saw the plane, and thought, ‘That plane looks low. Very, very low,'” Topchian told the outlet.
“As it kept coming, coming, coming, I thought that plane was going to hit me. I only saw it for a few seconds, so I didn’t have much time to just sit there thinking.”
Stunned after narrowly avoiding being struck by the plane’s wing, Topchian paused for a moment to collect himself and then looked around to observe the destruction caused.
According to Topchian, there was “fire everywhere.” The Oklahoma City Fire Department arrived at the scene and were surprised to find that both military pilots on board were unharmed and had already exited the aircraft.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation, stated the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC).
