A man who found a secret compartment to “hide things” in his car even caught the attention of a police officer.
The video was posted by a police officer on TikTok, who shared a clip of a man showing a perfect spot to hide things in his car.
In the footage, the man demonstrates how to turn the headlight control switch and pull it out completely.
After removing it, the component reveals a small compartment that could easily serve as a secret hiding place.
In a 2023 post, another user showed the trick and shared that they decided to put an AirTag tracker inside the compartment. “That way, if my vehicle is stolen, I can track it.”
The police officer then reacted to the clip and decided to test the trick himself. The officer filmed his way to his patrol car, before opening the door and getting in. “I don’t believe this will work,” he admitted.
He continued filming as he turned the headlight switch before removing it, visibly surprised by the success of the hack. “Okay, amazing. It really works.”
The clip has already gathered over 3 million views and thousands of comments from internet users who seemed disappointed the trick got exposed to the authorities.
“Now he’s going to search every car he stops,” wrote one TikTok user. “Great, he told the cops,” lamented another. “Our tax money at work,” joked a third user.
