Mercedes-Maybach has unveiled an ultra-luxurious version of the AMG SL63 roadster, called the SL680 Monogram Series 2026.

The model retains the 577 hp V8 biturbo engine, nine-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive, but has been modified to make it quieter and more comfortable, with enhanced sound insulation, revised exhaust, recalibrated suspension, and new seat finishes. The starting price is set at $226,050.

The launch took place during the Monterey Car Week, a traditional event for luxury models. The convertible features redesigned bumpers, a new grille, exclusive 21-inch wheels, chrome details, and a hood with the classic three-pointed star ornament.

Another highlight is the two-tone paint, available only in metallic red or bright white, both with a black hood, and the soft top, which repeatedly displays the Maybach logo in a pattern similar to high-end fashion items.

With a white leather interior and refined finishes, the SL680 stands out from other Maybach models, which are typically aimed at large sedans and SUVs. The goal is to turn this sporty model into a luxury grand tourer for two, combining performance and sophistication in a more compact format.

However, the exclusivity comes with a high price, which can exceed $250,000 depending on the options chosen.
