The vocalist of a rap-rock band was arrested after performing a surprise show at a gas station in Chicago, United States.
The 23-year-old lead singer of Silly Goose, Jackson Foster, was seen being handcuffed at a BP gas station last Saturday (2) before being taken to a police vehicle.
“Why am I being arrested?” Foster asked the officers in the video. “They’re only arresting me, not the rest of the guys!” he added as he walked past the crowd.
The arrest happened just two days after Silly Goose‘s performance at the opening of Lollapalooza last Thursday (31). “Was I the only artist who played at Lollapalooza and then went to jail?” Foster questioned in an Instagram post.

Foster was the only band member arrested for the impromptu performance. He claimed the band had permission from the gas station manager to perform at the location for one hour in exchange for $100 per night.
“We did the same thing last year and made a deal with the guy who runs the gas station. He accepted the idea of us playing there and we just gave him a few hundred dollars a night,” Foster told Chicago Q101.
“He said we could play at the gas station. We were playing and the police showed up. I don’t know if \[the station owner] changed his mind or what happened, but suddenly we stopped playing, I got out of the van, was handcuffed and taken to the station.”
However, police stated that the incident was much more serious than Foster described. Apparently, the problem was that “undisciplined” fans blocked the parking lot and sidewalk, according to a police report obtained by Chicago Sun-Times.
Additionally, the gas station’s general manager claimed there was no agreement between the company and the band, according to the outlet. For this reason, the musician was charged with trespassing.
