Right after announcing its new CEO and starting a rebranding effort, Jaguar was slammed by Donald Trump over its “woke” campaign.

In a post made on Truth Social, his own social network, last Monday (4), Trump called Jaguar’s campaign from last year “stupid” and “seriously woke.”

Trump was referring to an ad titled “Don’t Copy Anything,” released by the company in November 2024. The 30-second video did not feature a car, but rather models dressed in colorful androgynous outfits.

“Who wants to buy a Jaguar after seeing that shameful ad? The destruction of market value was unprecedented, with billions of dollars lost so foolishly,” commented the former U.S. president.

In the same post, he took the opportunity to praise Sydney Sweeney’s recent participation in American Eagle’s controversial jeans campaign, especially after the news that the actress had joined the Republican Party.

CEO Adrian Mardell, who spent three decades at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and served as CEO for the past three years, announced last Thursday (31) that he will step down in November.

He will be succeeded by P.B. Balaji, according to a statement from Jaguar. “These three years have been a great privilege. Together with JLR’s incredible workforce, we’ve strengthened JLR’s position in the auto industry during a time of incredible change,” said Mardell.
