One of the most impressive private collections of McLaren cars is about to gain a new owner. The fleet, which belonged to businessman Mansour Ojjeh—a central figure in transforming McLaren into a reference both in Formula 1 and in supercar manufacturing—has just been put up for sale.
Ojjeh, who passed away in 2021, had been a partner in the company since 1984 and helped finance the development of the iconic McLaren F1, selling his collection of Ferraris at the time to make the project viable.
The highlight of the collection is precisely the last McLaren F1 manufactured among the only 106 ever produced. The model is painted in the exclusive “Yquem” shade, later renamed “Mansour Orange” by McLaren itself in tribute to Ojjeh. The car has only 1,810 km on the clock and was chosen by its owner for being the final chassis in the line, reflecting his preference for always owning the final, most advanced version of each model.
In total, there are 20 vehicles, including rarities such as the McLaren Speedtail, P1, Senna, Elva, Sabre, as well as Longtail (LT) and Le Mans (LM) versions—many of them also being the final units produced. Although not all are in the exclusive color, all cars have been preserved in impeccable condition, with most never having been driven. Care and maintenance were handled by McLaren itself, following direct instructions from Ojjeh—an unprecedented privilege for a collector.
The sale of the collection marks the closing of a personal and historic chapter. In a statement, Kathy Ojjeh, Mansour’s widow, acknowledged the difficulty of parting with the collection but stated that the time had come to pass it on to someone who understands its value and has the same care her husband showed over the years.
