The midsize SUV, which had a solid 10-year run in the United States, returns with a refreshed look based on the brand’s new design language, already seen in the Wagoneer S and Compass 2025. The first images reveal the iconic seven-slot grille and a robust body style, typical of the Jeep identity.
Built on the STLA Large Transverse platform by Stellantis, the new Cherokee will offer a variety of powertrain options, including a confirmed hybrid version and both combustion and fully electric variants. The electric version may follow in the footsteps of the Wagoneer S, which features a 100 kWh battery and dual motors producing 600 hp, although the Cherokee is expected to have a more moderate performance.
According to Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf, the new Cherokee will be a key element in expanding the brand’s lineup, with more technology, standard features, and competitive pricing. Positioned between the Compass and the Grand Cherokee, the model aims to carve out space in the largest segment of the automotive market.
The official launch is set for later in 2025, with sales expected to begin in 2026, including in the United States.
