The animal escaped just one day after being purchased by its owner and has not yet been found, according to the local sheriff’s office.
During the incident, the zebra was seen running through traffic on Interstate 24 in the city of Murfreesboro, prompting authorities to temporarily close the highway to ensure driver safety.
