Fiat has launched its first three-wheeled electric vehicle, the Tris, a compact truck specially designed to serve small businesses such as delivery and mobile services.

Measuring about 3.17 meters in length, it is smaller than a Honda Civic but offers a cargo space capable of carrying up to 540 kg, accommodating standard European pallets. The Tris is available in three versions: truck, cab chassis, and flatbed.

Equipped with a 12-horsepower, 48-volt electric motor, the Tris reaches a top speed of 45 km/h and has a 6.9 kWh battery offering up to 90 km of range per charge. Charging can be done on standard household outlets, taking about 3 and a half hours to reach 80% charge and approximately 4 hours and 40 minutes for a full recharge, a suitable time for business routines.

Although small, the Tris features useful equipment such as a closed glove box, USB-C input, 12-volt socket, and a digital dashboard.

Designed for markets in Africa and the Middle East, it complies with European safety standards, including a three-point seatbelt and a reverse alarm, and features LED lights with Fiat’s new characteristic design.

The manufacturer also plans to offer vehicle customization services to meet different business needs.
