Flying motorcycle created by Polish engineer reaches 200 km/h and resembles a Star Wars vehicle (Instagram @volonaut)
Polish engineer Tomasz Patan, founder of Volonaut, developed a flying motorcycle called Airbike, which impresses with its lightness and speed.
The vehicle can exceed 200 km/h and weighs about seven times less than a conventional motorcycle, thanks to the use of carbon fiber and parts made with 3D printers.
With an appearance similar to the floating motorcycles from the Star Wars franchise, it is also capable of performing vertical takeoffs and landings.
Unlike his previous project, the Jetson One (an eVTOL with propellers launched in 2022), the Airbike uses a jet propulsion system, the technical details of which have not been revealed. The motorcycle also features a computer-controlled stabilization system, which enhances safety and maneuverability during flight.
The Airbike has no roof and offers the pilot a 360-degree view through a simulated screen. Despite the technological advancements and design innovation, there is no official information on prices or the start of sales, suggesting that the product is still in the development or testing phase.
