Ram has announced the return of the Express version of the 1500 pickup for the 2026 model year, targeting buyers looking for a more affordable option without giving up on style.
Positioned above the base Tradesman and below the Big Horn, the new 1500 Express features a cleaner look with 20-inch wheels, body-colored bumpers, minimal badging, and a black-trimmed grille. It will be available in five colors and starts at \$44,495, including the destination fee.
Even at a lower price, the 1500 Express delivers solid performance and technology. It comes standard with a 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 305 hp, but a 420 hp twin-turbo inline-six is available as an upgrade.
The base model includes a crew cab and rear-wheel drive, but extended cab and four-wheel drive versions are also offered. Available features include adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking.
For those wanting even more style, the optional Black Express package (\$995) adds black wheels and badging, a sport hood, LED headlights, side steps, and an interior with cloth seats and a center console.
With the discontinuation of the Ram 1500 Classic, the Express is expected to take its place as an attractive mid-tier option. Orders are now open, and the first units will arrive by late summer.
