A Russian installation in Oryol is being used to launch Shahed kamikaze drones from pickup trucks against Ukrainian targets.

A video shared by the Military Informant channel on Telegram shows Russian forces launching Shahed drones from pickup trucks at a military facility in Oryol Oblast.

The footage shows the unmanned vehicle hitting a Ukrainian target. The pickup truck accelerates to the necessary speed for the drone to be released by a structure at the back of the truck bed.

The site had already been targeted in Ukrainian attacks on January 26, 2025, according to the General Staff of Ukraine, which had aimed at the concrete structures used for the maintenance of UAVs.

At the time, satellite images and analysis by the KiberBoroshno cyberintelligence group confirmed the damage to the facility, showing dark craters on one of the buildings.

In December 2024, Storm Shadow cruise missiles were used to strike the facility, which serves as a maintenance center for Shahed drones.
