The Finnish vehicle manufacturer SISU has unveiled its latest all-terrain vehicle, the GTT ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle), at the SecD-Day defense event in Finland.
This new model is part of the SISU GTP (G-series Transport Protected) family, designed for operations in extreme weather conditions.
The GTT shares components and technical solutions with other vehicles in the GTP line, which is expected to reduce production costs and ease maintenance. It is also considered the successor to the Nasu, a tracked vehicle in service since 1985, which has been provided to the Ukrainian Defense Forces through donations from Estonia and possibly also the Finnish government.
According to released images, the GTT follows the concept of an articulated all-terrain vehicle, consisting of a motorized trailer unit. The presented prototype was equipped with a Browning M2 machine gun and mortars with smoke grenades, enhancing its defense capabilities.
Finland, with its vast swampy areas and snow-covered landscapes, makes these vehicles especially valuable to the local armed forces, providing mobility and safety in difficult terrain.
