Giant $1.5 Billion Yacht Combines Luxury and Sustainability at Sea (Instagram @myulyssia)
The Ulyssia Gigayacht is set to be one of the largest and most luxurious yachts ever built, measuring 324 meters in length and costing an impressive $1.5 billion.
Expected to be delivered between 2028 and 2029, it will feature 133 exclusive residences and 22 guest suites, offering accommodations ranging from family suites to luxurious penthouses.
Prices to live on the yacht start at $10.5 million, reaching up to $60 million for the most luxurious penthouses, with spaces exceeding 1,400 m².
The project, led by Swiss billionaire Frank Binder, focuses on sustainability and sophisticated design. Binder, heir to the Merck pharmaceutical empire, designed the yacht to resemble a traditional yacht but with glass walls to create an immersive connection with the surroundings, as well as modern technologies to minimize ecological impact. The hybrid propulsion system will use sustainable fuels such as green methanol and solar batteries, reflecting a commitment to environmentally responsible practices.
The interior design will be signed by Francesca Muzio, renowned for her projects in more than 100 luxury yachts. Compared to a typical cruise ship like the “Icon of the Seas,” which accommodates thousands of people, the “Ulyssia” stands out for its exclusivity and sophistication, offering personalized and unmatched experiences at sea.
