KNDSは2月6日、TYTANが開発した迎撃ドローンをKNDS製の戦闘車両に統合するため、ドイツのTYTAN Technologiesと覚書（MoU）を締結したと発表した。
調印式は、ドイツ連邦経済・エネルギー大臣カトリン・ヴァイデマンの立ち会いのもとで行われた。
この協力は、迎撃ドローンInterceptor-Sを装甲兵員輸送車Boxer RCT30に統合することに成功したことを受けたものだ。完全統合システムは、2025年秋、ミュンスター＝ベルゲンにあるドイツ連邦軍（Bundeswehr）の試験場で、「Bundeswehr Land」実証シリーズの一環として披露された。
両社によると、このパートナーシップでは、TYTANの対ドローン技術を用い、KNDSの地上システムおよび乗員を無人航空脅威から保護するためのソリューションを共同で開発する。また、移動式ドローン発射ソリューションに関する新たな欧州標準の策定や、C-UAV技術の継続的な発展も含まれる。
戦闘車両の防護を目的に特別開発されたInterceptor-Sは、hartpunktの報道によれば、AFCEA 2025で初公開された。コスト効率の高い統合を可能にするため、ドローンには先端に推進モーターを備えた4基の格納式テールユニットが採用されている。この設計により、Boxerのような車両の側面に取り付けられたコンテナからの発射が可能となる。
性能面では、Interceptor-Sは最大5kmの射程、時速200～300kmの速度、最大離陸重量3kgとされる。全高は約50cmで、最大2,000mの高度でクラスIIドローンを迎撃・無力化するのに適していると評価されている。
本合意により、KNDSとTYTANは、地上プラットフォームに統合された機動型C-UAS能力への取り組みを一層強化し、戦場で増加するドローンの使用に対応するとともに、機械化部隊の防護向上を目指す。
